All 18 open at Big Meadow through weekend
before course begins to shut down
The weather has inevitably turned here in Central Oregon, and the clocks are about to be turned back. Halloween has come and gone, November is here, and Thanksgiving is just on the horizon.
And although all 18 holes will remain open at Big Meadow through Sunday, Nov. 5, few signals could be clearer that the golf season at Black Butte Ranch is just about over.
This has been another spectacular season at Black Butte Ranch. A late spring was met with a spectacular late fall, which seemingly stretched the golf season just enough for us golfers to get in some season-ending seasons.
Alas, every beginning must have an end, and the 2017 golf season is no exception,
Glaze Meadow has already closed for the season, and the maintenance staff at Black Butte Ranch has begun the process of readying Big Meadow for winter.
As a result, Big Meadow’s hours are changing on Monday. Big Meadow’s driving range will continue to stay open daily, so long as the snow and ice stays away. But beginning Monday, Nov. 6, only Big Meadow’s front nine will remain open, weather permitting.
As soon as the snow begins to fly, Big Meadow will close for the season. And judging by the forecast, that won’t be long either.
Big Meadow’s Golf Shop will be open from 7:30 a.m. to dusk as long as the course remains open.
Once the winter weather closes the course for the season, the shop hours will be reduced to 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. … So there will still be plenty of opportunity to pick up a gift or two before the holiday season.
For a chance to squeeze in another round before the end of the golf season book a tee time online, or call 855-210-5305 or the Golf Shop at 541-595-1545.
Thank you for another wonderful golf season at Black Butte Ranch!
