Sidewalk sale among golf highlights in July

Golf is a wonderful way to celebrate the 4th of July. Make the holiday even better by getting a fresh look at the most technologically advanced equipment and grabbing some significant discounts on gear, including Black Butte Ranch logoed items.

Black Butte Ranch’s annual demo day and sidewalk sale — the headlining golf event in what should be a spectacular July at Black Butte Ranch — is a rare opportunity for golfers to get their hands on the very best equipment.

The demo day will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, at Big Meadow. The demo days are relatively small, with TaylorMade and Adams showing off their wares on Friday and Cobra taking center stage on Saturday.

The modest (by design) lineup of manufacturers comes with advantages. Not the least of which is a more intimate setting for golfers to put the equipment through its paces.

“I think it more personable, for sure,” says Jeff Fought, director of golf at Black Butte Ranch.  “It is an opportunity for golfers to try all the latest and greatest.”

The sidewalk sale — which features discounts of between 30 percent and 60 percent off merchandise, logo wear, clubs, shoes and accessories — will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The sale will offer items from most of golf’s premier designers, such as Nike and Puma. And that includes Black Butte Ranch’s logoed wear. Adidas will also be on hand selling their newest gear for as much as 30 percent off.

The demo days will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The tent sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
